Our Process
Hi! I'm Mellisa, owner of Mellisa Rae Studios. Thanks for having me! My photography story began when I became a mother in 2015. During my son's first year, I fell in love with documenting his important milestones through my lens. I'm now a mother of two, and over the years I've experienced big life changes and discoveries. As a former military spouse, I had the opportunity to experience and appreciate various landscapes across the US. In Boise, Idaho, I continued to learn and experiment whenever possible, and was asked to photograph a wedding for the first time for some friends of mine. I also met my amazing husband, and together we moved to Charleston 2 years ago. With his loving support and encouragement, in 2023 I was finally able to put my dreams into action professionally and start my own business capturing priceless moments for others.
